For sale I have this 1950s vintage Cricket bat made by Crocket. This has the Lindsay Hassett autograph on the front. Hassett began his Test career at the tender age of 32, playing alongside Don Bradman, in 1946 he became Brahmans vice Captain for three series including the famous invincible team. Hassett took over from Bradman and captained Australia in his own right in 1949. Crocket Cricket bats were made by former test match umpire Robert Maxwell Crocket who upon his retirement at the age of 63, due to failing eyesight at his home town of Shepheards Flat. By the 1920s bats were crafted from Australian Wood and were shaped and sold under the R M Crocket label. In 1956 the company was taken over by Slazenger.
